Guides to dental work in Vietnam: what to know before you go.

What these guides are

Guides to dental work in Vietnam from Dental Link are short and honest. Dental Link is a free service that matches you with vetted dental clinics in Vietnam. The guides come from our team in Ho Chi Minh City. They also come from patients who let us share what they learned. They do not try to sell you anything, and they carry no clinic adverts. They cover only what is hard to find out from home. We mark any figure we cannot check.

Here are our five guides to dental work in Vietnam, in the order people ask.

01 · Safety

Is dental work in Vietnam safe?

This guide gives an honest answer about safety. It shows what you can check before you fly, and what you cannot. It also explains why we never promise a medical result.

02 · Do it yourself

How to check a dental clinic in Vietnam yourself

The same 18 checks we run, as questions you can email a clinic before you spend anything. Take the list even if you never call us.

03 · Timing

Why implants take two trips

Implants need to heal before the final teeth go on. So most patients come twice, 3 to 6 months apart. The guide explains what two trips mean for flights, time off and the total cost.

04 · The warranty question

What if my dental work fails after I fly home?

Everyone asks what happens if dental work fails after they fly home, and almost nobody answers it. The guide explains what a dental warranty must say to be worth it. It covers who pays for the flight back. It also shows how to see what your clinic's warranty covers before you agree to treatment.

05 · Australia

Paying for dental treatment with superannuation: what Dental Link can and cannot do

Some Australians access superannuation early for dental treatment on compassionate grounds. The process asks for a written quote from the provider. We are not financial advisers. This guide explains how the process works in outline. It says to check with your super fund and the ATO (Australia's tax office) first. It goes no further than that.

Three rules Dental Link follows in every guide, even when a rule means leaving something out.

  1. No invented figures. Where we have not found a source for a number ourselves, we say so. We do this even for home country price ranges we could have guessed.
  2. No clinical advice. We are not dentists. We explain what a process looks like and what a document should contain. We never tell a specific person what treatment to have.
  3. No named clinics, good or bad. Our guides do not name the clinics on our list, or any other clinic. Clinics on our list stay anonymous until you have a quote in hand. We do not attack competitors by name.

If you find something wrong in a guide, tell us on WhatsApp. We will fix it or take it down.
