Dental work in Vietnam compared with Thailand, with your home country, and with booking a clinic yourself.

The short answer

Dental work in Vietnam compared with Thailand: the first difference is price. Published 2026 comparisons put Vietnam roughly 20 to 40 percent below Thailand for the same implant brands. The gap is widest on full arch work, meaning a full top or bottom row of teeth on implants. Compared with a quote from a dentist at home, the gap is even bigger. But the country you pick matters less than the people who look after you. Who has checked the clinic in person and read your quote? Who will be there when you land?

Vietnam or Thailand for dental work: both have excellent clinics, and both have bad ones.

Thailand is usually the first place Australians look for dental work overseas, and it is a fair choice.

The bars compare price levels, not real prices. Thailand's level is shown as 100. Vietnam's level is 60 to 80, which is 20 to 40 percent below Thailand. Dental Link does not publish Thai clinic prices, because we have not found a set of prices we trust. The 20 to 40 percent gap is the figure we stand behind.

Dental Link is not saying Thailand is unsafe. Thailand is a large market with good clinics in it.

Published prices for All-on-4 and single implants, Vietnam and other countries side by side.

All-on-4 holds a full top or bottom row of teeth, an arch, on four implants. Each market is shown in the currency it is quoted in, so nothing in this table is converted. New Zealand implant fees come from the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) 2025 fee survey. The source for Canadian fees is the British Columbia Dental Association 2024 fee guide. United Kingdom pricing is the published starting price from Bupa Dental Care. No dental association publishes an All-on-4 fee, so full arch ranges come from each country's published clinic price lists. Our cost calculator converts these prices at an exchange rate, and marks that rate as indicative: a guide, not an exact figure.

Why prices in Vietnam are lower

In Vietnam, prices are lower because clinics pay less for wages, rent and local lab work. The lower price is not a discount. Materials are bought globally, so your quote can name the same brand you would get at home.

What the Vietnam price does not cover

You pay for your own flights, hotel and visa. That money goes to whoever you book them with, never to Dental Link. For implants there are two trips, 3 to 6 months apart. So budget for two sets of flights, not one.

What Dental Link will not claim

We will not claim a medical result. Nobody honest can. What we guarantee is the process. That means an airport pickup and an advisor in the room with you at the clinic. It also means check-ins with you, written quotes, and a named person who answers.

Booking a dental clinic in Vietnam yourself, compared with using Dental Link.

Questions about choosing a country for dental work, and about Dental Link.

Which is better for dental implants, Thailand or Vietnam?

Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines all have excellent clinics, and all have bad ones. On published 2026 comparisons, Vietnam costs about 20 to 40 percent less than Thailand for the same implant brand. The gap is biggest on full arch work, meaning a full top or bottom row of teeth. We have not found Philippines prices we trust, so we do not publish them. What matters more is who has checked your clinic in person and read your quote line by line. Dental Link does that, and only in Vietnam.

What is the cheapest country for dental implants?

Dental Link will not name one cheapest country for dental implants. The honest answer changes by treatment, by clinic and by month. And the cheapest price you see usually includes the least. We publish what we can stand behind. An arch is a full top or bottom row of teeth. All-on-4 holds one arch on four implants. In Vietnam, through a vetted clinic, All-on-4 is from US$3,900 per arch. Single implants are from US$950. Those are the clinic's own prices.

Why would I use Dental Link instead of contacting a clinic myself?

Dental Link costs you nothing, and using it changes four things. Which clinics you see. What the quote has to contain. Who is in the room at your first appointment. And what happens if something needs fixing after you fly home. Would you rather go direct to a clinic? Dental Link uses the clinic vetting checklist on this site. You are welcome to use it yourself.

Does Dental Link get paid more if I pick a particular clinic?

No. Dental Link earns the same whichever clinic you choose. The clinic pays our commission, and it is never added to your quote. No clinic can pay to be listed, placed higher, or shown to more patients. We are paid only on completed treatment. So a patient pushed into the wrong clinic is a loss for us, not a win.

What would make Dental Link tell me not to come to Vietnam?

If Vietnam is not the right answer for you, Dental Link tells you so on your free 10-minute call. If you decide not to go, you owe nothing and you will not hear from us again.

Compare two written quotes from vetted clinics in Vietnam.

Start with a 10-minute phone call with Dental Link. Within 24 hours, you get two vetted clinics matched to your case. Their written quotes spell out the implant brand, the lab and the warranty. You compare, and you choose.
