Questions about dental work in Vietnam, answered as Dental Link answers them on a call.
Questions about dental work in Vietnam are answered on this page. Dental Link is a small team in Vietnam that matches you, for free, with vetted dental clinics. Each answer is the same one you will get on a call with Dental Link. If we do not know something, or have not sourced a figure ourselves, we say so rather than guess.
Questions about dental costs in Vietnam, and how you pay
How much do All-on-4 dental implants cost in Vietnam?
All-on-4 in Vietnam costs from US$3,900 per arch at a clinic vetted by Dental Link. An arch is a full top or bottom row of teeth. All-on-4 holds one arch on four implants. We do not give a top price, because the implant brand sets it. At home, the same arch is quoted up to A$50,000 in Australia and US$50,000 in the United States. These are quoted prices, not a promise about your own treatment. Your own figure comes from your matched clinic after it sees your X-rays.
How much is a single dental implant in Vietnam?
A single dental implant in Vietnam costs from US$950 at a vetted clinic. That covers the post, the abutment (the connector) and the crown, as quoted per case. Published price ranges at home are A$3,000 to A$7,000 in Australia and $3,000 to $6,000 in the United States. Other procedures, such as bone grafting, a sinus lift or taking out a tooth, cost extra in every country.
What do veneers and crowns cost in Vietnam?
Published 2026 Vietnam guides put porcelain veneers at $250 to $500 per tooth. They put crowns at $150 to $500 per tooth. We have not checked these published ranges against our own clinics' price lists. The number that counts is your matched clinic's written quote.
Why is dental work more affordable in Vietnam?
Wages, rent and clinic running costs are far lower than in Australia, the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom. Lab work is made locally, not shipped. Materials and implant systems are bought globally, so your quote can name the same brand you would get at home. A low price does not tell you if the clinic is licensed. Nor does it tell you if the brand you actually get matches the brand in your quote. That is what Dental Link's clinic vetting is for.
Why is Dental Link free for me? What is the catch?
The clinic pays Dental Link a commission, and only when a patient completes treatment. So we gain nothing by pushing you into the wrong clinic. It is a loss for us, not a win. You pay the clinic directly, and our commission is never added to your bill. 100% free for patients. Same price as booking direct. No deposits, ever.
Do I have to pay a deposit when I book through Dental Link?
No deposits, ever. The clinic holds your appointment dates without one. You pay the clinic directly, in person, for work you have agreed to.
Will the price change once I am in Vietnam?
Your quote is in writing before you fly, at the same price as booking direct. Once your dentist sees you in person, they may recommend a change to the plan. Sometimes an exam finds something no one could know before. Your dentist should explain any change, and you are free to ask questions and decide. What shouldn't happen is pressure, or being sold extra treatment because you've arrived. Our clinics are contracted to put your care first, not sales targets.
What is not included when I book through Dental Link?
Hotel, flights and visas are not included. You pay the hotel, airline or visa provider for those, and your clinic for treatment. Dental Link adds nothing to any of those bills. Our travel partners handle visas, airport fast track, flights and hotels, and your Dental Link advisor introduces you to them. Airport pickup and an advisor at your first appointment are included at no cost. So are English speaking support and translation, quote comparison across vetted clinics, and aftercare check-ins.
Questions about safety and dental clinics in Vietnam
Is it safe to get dental work in Vietnam?
Every clinic Dental Link sends patients to is registered and licensed with Vietnam's Ministry of Health. Each is inspected by the city Department of Health. We have visited each one in person during working hours. We have also seen the dental lab each clinic says it uses, or that lab's certification. Clinics are removed from our list if standards slip. We will not make a clinical claim: we are not dentists, and we do not give treatment advice. You meet your dentist, see the clinic and get a written plan before you agree to anything. Once treatment starts, you follow your clinic's instructions.
Is Vietnam good for dental implants?
Vietnam has clinics that place a lot of implants. They buy materials on the same global market as clinics at home. Their published prices are well below Australia, the United States and Canada. It also has clinics we would not send anyone to. So the country alone does not give you the answer. The answer comes from the clinic, the dentist's case history for your exact procedure, and the clinic's documents. Case history means how many of that procedure the dentist has done, with examples.
How does Dental Link vet a dental clinic?
Dental Link vets a clinic with eighteen checks in six groups. Licence and legal standing. An in person visit by an advisor who lives in the city. The dentist, not just the clinic. Materials, pricing and warranty. Records and outcomes. Adversarial review. Licences, registrations and sterilisation records are re-checked every year. A change of owner or lead dentist means a full re-check. All 18 are published in full on our vetting page.
Which dental clinic will I be matched with, and can I choose?
Dental Link keeps clinic names hidden until your quotes are ready. Until then, each clinic is shown by a label, for example Verified Clinic, District 1, All-on-4 specialist. That way you compare the plan and the price, not the branding. When your quotes are ready, you get the clinic names, dentist profiles and walk through videos. Then you choose. You can also ask for a different one, or none of them.
Can a clinic pay to be on Dental Link's list?
No. No clinic can pay to be listed, placed higher, or shown to more patients. Our fee is paid only on completed treatment, and it is the same whichever clinic you choose.
Will someone speak English with me in Vietnam?
Yes. Your Dental Link advisor is in the room with you at your first clinic appointment. They are on WhatsApp for the whole trip, in English and Vietnamese.
Questions about the Dental Link process and timing
What happens on the free call with Dental Link?
The call takes ten minutes. We ask what you need, what you were quoted at home, when you want it, and whether you have X-rays. That is enough for us to present your case to clinics properly. We do not sell you anything on the call.
What happens in the 24 hours after my call with Dental Link?
After your call, your case goes to our partner network of clinics. Clinics that suit your case send back a plan and a price, usually within hours of getting your X-rays. We compare what each price includes, the materials and the warranty, not just the total. Then we narrow them to two clinics, each with a walk through video. You watch, ask questions, and choose.
How long does it take to get dental implants in Vietnam?
For implants, most patients come twice, 3 to 6 months apart. The implant needs to heal before the final teeth go on. Crowns and veneers are usually one trip. Your quote lists each appointment and the time between them, so you can book flights on real dates.
Will I have teeth while I wait for dental implants?
Temporary teeth are part of most implant plans and should be a named line in your quote. Your dentist decides which temporary teeth you get, from which day, and what you can eat with them. This is a clinical decision. Your dentist makes it for your case and writes it into the plan before you fly.
Who meets me at the airport in Vietnam?
Tommy, Dental Link's driver, meets you at arrivals and drives you to your hotel. Free airport pickup comes with every booking. After that, your clinic takes you from your hotel to your appointments and back, for your whole first stay. That transport is in your clinic's quote. Your Dental Link advisor is with you at your first clinic appointment. They translate the plan, the materials and the warranty terms in the room, while you can still ask questions. Send your flight number and the pickup is booked.
Which city in Vietnam will I be in?
You will be in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. Most of our clinics are in Ho Chi Minh City, and so is your advisor. Hanoi has a second group of our clinics. If you have a preference, tell us. If not, we match you to clinics based on your case. That is what we would recommend anyway.
Questions about warranty and aftercare once you are home
What if something goes wrong with my dental work after I fly home?
Before you agree to treatment, your chosen clinic's warranty, terms and conditions and guarantees should be clearly explained. They should also be in your quote. That way you know what is covered, and for how long. If the warranty covers an issue, the remedial dental treatment for it is covered according to the clinic's warranty terms. Travel and accommodation are generally not included. Need to return to Vietnam for remedial work? Any arrangements or help with flights and accommodation can be discussed directly with your Patient Link Advisor. This advisor is your contact at Dental Link. Dental Link is your advocate, not a service provider. We introduce you to the clinic and speak up for you. Every issue falls under the clinic's own insurance, warranty, guarantees, terms and conditions. Your advisor has a direct line to the clinic and raises anything you report. If a clinic handles a problem badly, we take it off Dental Link's list of partner clinics.
What does my clinic's dental warranty actually say?
Your clinic's warranty terms are the ones written in your quote. You read them before you fly. Ask for five things in every quote. How many years, and from when. Which parts of the work are covered. What the exclusions are. Who you contact, and in what language. And whether travel back is covered. A warranty missing any of those five things is not a real warranty.
Does Dental Link give aftercare advice?
No. Follow your clinic's instructions once you are home. If a clinical question comes up, we take it back to your treating dentist rather than answer it ourselves. Our check-ins make sure the question reaches the clinic, in Vietnamese, from our side of the world.
Will Dental Link guarantee the result of my treatment?
No, and nobody honest will. What we guarantee is the process. You get free airport pickup, a Dental Link advisor with you at your first clinic appointment, and aftercare check-ins. You get written quotes at the clinic's own price, and a named person who answers your questions.
Questions about other countries, going direct to a clinic, and paying for treatment
Vietnam, Thailand or the Philippines for dental work?
Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines all have excellent dental clinics, and all three have bad ones. Published 2026 comparisons put Vietnam about 20 to 40 percent below Thailand for the same implant brand. The gap is biggest on full arch work, meaning a whole top or bottom row of teeth. We have not sourced Philippines prices we trust, so we do not publish them. What matters more is who has checked your clinic in person and read your quote line by line. It also matters who will be there when you land. Dental Link does all of that, and only in Vietnam.
Why not just contact a dental clinic in Vietnam myself?
You can, and plenty of people do, and it goes fine. Dental Link costs you nothing to use, and it changes four things. Which clinics you see. What the quote has to contain. Who is with you at your first clinic appointment. And what happens if something needs fixing after you fly home. Would you rather go direct to a clinic? Our clinic vetting checklist is published in full on our vetting page. It is the checklist we use, and you are welcome to use it yourself.
Can I use my superannuation to pay for dental treatment overseas?
Some Australians access superannuation early for dental treatment, on compassionate grounds. The process asks for a written quote from the provider. We are not financial advisers and this is not financial advice: check with your super fund and the ATO first. We can provide the written clinic quote the application asks for.
Does Dental Link offer finance or payment plans?
No. We do not offer finance, and we take no commission on any way you choose to pay for treatment. You pay the clinic directly, in person, for the work you agree to.

Does Dental Link get paid more if I pick a particular clinic?
No. Our commission is the same whichever clinic you choose. The clinic pays it, and it is never added to your quote. Our founder, Jordan Williams, says he always encourages patients to speak to a couple of our clinics.
What would make Dental Link tell me not to come to Vietnam?
If Vietnam is not the right answer for you, we say so on your free call with Dental Link. If you decide not to go, you owe nothing and you will not hear from us again.
